There was a fish and he swam the sea.
He was content as he could be.
His life was great, all his needs were met.
Oh, it was as good as it could get.
He swam around in the water wide,
With unwitting grace he would glide,
Back and forth, and to and fro,
A fish carefree, no place to go.
But then, one day, he began to think,
And he got scared that he would sink.
He thought that if he could catch his tail,
Then he’d be safe and would prevail.
The ocean watched as he struggled long.
Then said, “My son, these thoughts are wrong.
I give you all that you’ll ever need.
Have faith in this and you will succeed.”
And so this fish swam away with glee.
He finally knew that he was free.
He ventured out to see what he could find
And wisely put his own end behind.
The lesson here, if I may be so bold,
Is that God provides all things untold.
So worry not about food or thirst,
To live your dream, seek the Kingdom first.
To live your dream, seek the Kingdom first.
